Books & Maps

The Victoria Regional History Center (VRHC) houses the VC/UHV Library's Texana Collection of books and other materials. The Texana Collection focuses on the history of Texas in general and the Victoria area in particular. This collection is intended to serve as a resource for historical research and may include limited genealogy materials that are within our collection scope.

All books in our Texana Collection are searchable in the VC/UHV Library Catalog below. Many of these titles circulate although some rare or fragile items may be used within the library or VRHC online.

The VRHC map collection features historical, aerial, and other special maps of the region. Many of these maps have been cataloged and are searchable in the VC/UHV Library Catalog below. (General Keyword searching using the term "maps" together with a city or county name with no quotation marks. e.g. Maps Victoria Tex).

Maps that are not yet cataloged may be found in the VRHC Manuscripts Shelf List or contact VRHC staff.

For any help accessing the VC/UHV Library's Online Catalog, contact the Library's Reference Desk at 361-570-4166.
