The Evergreen Cemetery Association records hold enrollment certificates for the association, member lists, endowment papers, and lists of names and lots for the cemetery. There are also files on burials with names and dates only.

The African American Cemeteries Project was project of James A. Lucas to record the information from African American cemeteries in 7 counties: Dewitt, Gonzales, Goliad, Jackson, Lavaca, Refugio, and Victoria. Mr. Lucas strived to use the information from the cemeteries to establish family relationships. Many of the cemeteries recorded are no longer used and exist on private land. Mr. Lucas pieced together gaps in these records from personal interview, funeral home records, obituaries, and family tree research data.
