This guide explains the different types of collections within the VRHC holdings

VRHC Collections

The Victoria Regional History Center is a repository for materials that document the history of the greater Victoria area. It also houses the institutional archives of the University of Houston-Victoria and Victoria College. Included in its archival holdings, the VRHC is the official archive repository for the Victoria Advocate newspaper. The VRHC participates in the Regional Historical Resource Depository program, within the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. To fulfill the mission for documenting the history of the Victoria region, the VRHC holds individual manuscript collections, photograph collections, digital collections, and other historic newspapers on microfilm.
